Buyers' and Sellers' Tips
1. Pre-Approval:
Have you been pre-approved for your loan by a reputable mortgage
company? Working with a knowledgeable loan officer who can structure
the best mortgage for you is essential.

2. Affordability versus Comfort:
After being pre-approved, you know how much you are qualified to
borrow. A key question to ask yourself is, “Am I comfortable spending
the maximum amount I can borrow every month?” The amount you
qualify for is often more than you are comfortable spending on a
monthly bases.

3. Needs assessment:
What is your dream home? Is this your first home, step-up home or
step-down home? Is your anticipated ownership of the home short term
or longer term? Are schools, interstate access, proximity to shopping,
etc. a factor? I will help you with a needs assessment in order to
determine the right property for you.

4. Down Payment:
How much cash do you have available to purchase a home (earnest
money, closing cost and down payment)?

5. Time Frame:
When do you need to move? Do you have a current lease? Do you
have to sell in order to purchase?

6. Current Market Conditions:
Whether buying or selling, knowing the current housing market is critical
for the consumer. Is it a buyer’s, seller’s or balanced market?

7. Getting ready:
Is your home ready to sell? What are your motivations for selling? How
quickly do you need to sell? What projects do you need to do complete
so that your home sells quickly and at the right price?
